Who should sign a purchase offer?
A purchase offer should be signed by the buyers. To be accepted, it has to be signed by all the owners of the property. One or two authenticating witnesses would valid the signatures. The real estate agent may sign if required.
If a property is registered to only one owner, the spouse could also have to agree depending on the type of antenuptial settlement or if there was a publication declaring the property as the family residence. Talk to your notary if you have any doubts.
Attention: The buyers who signed the purchase offer will have to be the same who will sing the mortgage loan.
